ECOS DE LA HERENCIA, PROYECTO MURAL CON PEDRO VERAS

On behalf of the 7 Arts Latino Foundation (a non-profit organization), we invite you to participate in the “Echoes of Heritage” mural project. This project celebrates Latino culture, artistic expression, and economic impact in Springfield, Massachusetts. Its goal is to honor and showcase the vibrant contributions of Latino culture to our community, highlighting the hard work of Latino immigrants and their hope for a better future.
For this project, we have invited prominent Dominican artist Pedro Veras from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) to participate by painting a mural in the heart of our city. Mr. Veras has vast experience painting murals in various cities in the Dominican Republic, as well as in Spain and Italy.
“Echoes of Heritage” is scheduled for June 2025 and aims to honor and showcase the vibrant contributions of Latino culture in our community.
Mr. Veras’Veras’s original artistic vision and exceptional talent will significantly enhance our celebration and impact our city’s cultural landscape.
The mural will also be painted by 9th-12th grade students from Springfield schools and their parents so that we can have an inclusive community event.
The funds raised will be used for materials, equipment, advertising, lodging, food, transportation, airfare, and Mr. Veras’ labor. Any surplus will be used for administrative work and our organization’s various arts and culture programs.
We would appreciate your support for this significant project. You can donate $10 at the following link: https://www.zeffy.com/donation-form/ecos-de-la-herencia-proyecto-mural-con-pedro-veras
